Everyone will learn a lot about the cuisine and eating habits in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Take my word for it!

You havejust created the most appetizing and mouthwatering menu for a new Britishrestaurant!!  Kate Zabrodska liked it immensely and she insists on yourrestaurant's immediate opening!! Even though you opened your restaurantsuccessfully, you still have to pay attention to your customers' needs anddesires. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a successful career youwill have as a chef.

The title of my webquest is "YUMMY "

Description: This webquest provides a marvelous opportunity for pupils to take a trip to The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to examine the national cuisines and, at the end of their journey, present their original menus for a new British restaurant in Zhytomyr.

Grade Level: The webquest is created for pupils of the 9th - 11th forms, who learn English as the first foreign language. All websites are in English and I believe the content may be adapted to any classroom or age. The time frame is optional. The reasearch part takes 2-4 hours for ESL students, but the performance part takes as long as you wish. It can be used as an adittional lesson to the theme 'Food and Drinks'.The topic is very engaging and I'm dead sure that the pupils will be over the moon while doing such a task. Take my word for it!

It is important to mention that this is the compillation webquest. Here pupils have to read various sources of information and, at the end, create their original menus for the British restaurant.

Let me remind you what a WebQuest is!))

So, a WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.

Fom my point of view, it is  important to emphasize that WebQuests contain the following structural components:

1) Introduction which usually gives participants the information concerning the place, time, roles and the situation they are supposed to act in.
2) Task specifies the results which are expected when the WebQuest is completed.
3) Process and Resources usually contains step-by-step instructions for every participant which can be different for the roles suggested or be similar for everyone. If pupils are supposed to use any Internet resources these should be included into the text of the steps.
4) Evaluation Rubric is usually presented as a chart that contains several criteria for evaluation in the left-hand column and the descriptors in the header which help pupils to compare and self-evaluate their results.
5) Conclusion usually contains the words of congratulation, the description of the experience obtained and some questions for pupils' further research.
6) Teacher Page helps those who will use the WebQuest understand all the necessary information connected with the possibilities of its implementation into foreign language teaching.

Bear in mind that WebQuests are subdivided according to their tasks into 12 types:
1. Retelling task type.
2. Compillation task type.
3. Mystery task type.
4. Journalistic task type.
5. Design task type.
6. Creative task type.
7. Concensus building task type.
8. Persuasive task type.
9. Self-cognition task type.
10. Analytical task type.
11. Judgment task type.
12. Scientific task type.

To be honest, when I was said to create my own webquest, I was a little bit confused.  I did not know what I shall start with! Thanks God, there were instructions, following which I managed to get ready with the task!It took much time and effort, but, from my point of view, it was worth it.

So, it is high time to present you my first, but not the last, webquest.
